Sam’s Club 1st Annual Trade Show

– Importance of Small Businesses and Educational Preparation –

Richmond, Virginia: Earlier this month, Senator Ryan McDougle (R-Hanover) addressed a group of small business owners at the 1st Annual Sam’s Club Trade Show at the Richmond Marriott. Sam’s Club, along with the Retail Merchant’s Association and Greater Richmond Chamber’s Small Business Development Center hosted the event. The goal was to provide information to small business owners about ways to add profit to their businesses while saving time and money. There were 180 attendees representing 87 businesses.

Senator McDougle’s remarks focused on small businesses and their importance to our Commonwealth. Much of McDougle’s speech stressed the significance of equipping this and future generations with educational knowledge and practical work experience to ensure small businesses have innovative employees. The expansion of current small businesses and the creation of new small businesses are a positive economic driver for the economy of the Commonwealth of Virginia. McDougle also discussed ways to receive start up and market capitol for those new small businesses. He thanked Sam’s Club for focusing on ways the small business owners might profit through safety and industry specific techniques.

Michael Heintzman, Vice President of Sam’s Club along with merchandise buyers were present to answer questions. 30 Vendors had merchandise displays and were available to the attendees.
